RV Shipping

Shipping

Glastop and our manufacturers commercially package our products to reduce transportation damage. It is important to note that orders, depending on the items included, may arrive in multiple shipments, from multiple factories, with different lead times. Each product will ship as soon as it is completed unless otherwise specified. A desired arrival date for the product can be requested by our customer when ordering but is not guaranteed.

Deliveries are made via third-party carriers. Truck Drivers are simply drivers and are not contracted to call before arrival or assist with deliveries. If assistance is required to receive the products, it is extremely important to make arrangements in advance and have adequate personnel on hand to move it to its destination. There are additional services listed below that may facilitate your delivery.

Please call Glastop (1-954-781-8460) for a free shipping quote on the items you are interested in purchasing or if you have any questions about these additional charges

Shipping Methods

Below is a list of methods by which orders are delivered. The Shipping Method is determined when the order is placed. The size, weight, and service options selected are the most significant deciding factor by which shipping method will be determined. For a free Shipping Quote for your order, please call 954-781-8460.

Basic Shipping charges cover loading merchandise at the factory and transporting it to the delivery address provided at the time of the order.  Additional services can be purchased to assist in the delivery process. See Shipping Surcharges Below.

LTL - Default

Basic Shipping charges cover loading merchandise at the factory and transporting it to the delivery address provided at the time of the order.  Additional services can be purchased to assist in the delivery process. See Shipping Surcharges Below.

Most Furniture typically ships LTL, which is delivered on a 53' 18-wheeler semi-truck. Ample space is required without obstructs for the driver to make the delivery effectively. If the size of the truck is a potential issue please let us know that you "need a smaller truck for delivery” when placing the order.

 Lift Gate

Lift Gate Delivery, also known as off-loading assistance, comes with a truck equipped with an elevator. The driver will pull the order to the back of the truck and lower it to the ground for the customer's receive team to relocate and inspect. Small orders of merchandise can usually be physically taken off the truck, but Lift Gate Service is advised (unless you have a loading dock or fork-lift) due to the size and weight of most merchandise and especially for residential customers.

Ground

Items deemed small enough (Small Parts, Ottomans, occasionally Barrel Chairs) to deliver Ground (usually UPS or USPS) will be done without a call ahead or signature required. A secure address is needed to ensure that the merchandise is received as the order is typically dropped without notice. The address can be separate from the Commercial Delivery portion of the order

Shipping Surcharges

Additional delivery services may apply at an additional fee based on the shipping location or customer's needs during delivery acceptance. These options should be selected when placing order to ensure the best delivery experience possible. Please review the surcharges below for more details:

Note: These shipping surcharges are available for selection when placing order. Fees will be higher if they are added after the order ships.

Residential Delivery

Surcharge: $21.00 to $100.00

If the address that the products are being shipped to is not a commercial location or commercial truck route then you must select Residential Delivery. Examples of these deliveries include Home, Business run out of a home, Home Owner Associations, churches, or community clubhouses.

 Limited Access Delivery

Surcharge: $21.00 to $90.00

If the address that the products are being shipped to is an area that does not have easy access for a 53’ tractor trailer to get in and out of,  strict security requirements such as marinas, RV parks, gated communities, military bases, schools, construction sites, or amusement parks, then Limited Access Delivery must be included.

 Lift Gate Delivery

Surcharge: $ 26.00 to $125.00

If you do not have a loading dock or fork-lift and the products need to be offloaded from the truck, Lift Gate Delivery must be selected. This orders a truck equipped with a lift-gate to make the delivery. The driver will offload the products to the ground only, but will not move the order to any other location. All orders are shipped by Tailgate Delivery unless Lift Gate is checked. It is the customer's responsibility to have adequate personnel or equipment available for product relocation once the order is lowered. Restrictions may apply due to product sizing.

Inside Delivery

Surcharge: $300.00 and up

If the products need to be delivered inside a location you must select Inside Delivery. The driver will offload your products with a Lift Gate and take them inside the nearest available door or gate located to the parked truck. The inside location must be accessible by a hand truck, within a reasonable distance, and not upstairs, in an elevator, or up or down slopes.

Call before Delivery

Surcharge: $21.00

Once the order has reached the local terminal the commercial carrier will call 24 hours in advance to schedule a delivery window using the number on file. Call Ahead will delay transit time by at least one day.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not always guaranteed and we encourage customers to follow along with the provided tracking information to gauge the order's estimated time of arrival and plan accordingly. The customer can also contact the carrier once the order reaches the local terminal to speed up this process. The driver is not obligated to call when in route.

Damage Claims

It is our customer’s responsibility to receive, inspect, and record the condition of the merchandise on the packing slip at the time of delivery. The customer must take pictures of the condition of the packaging once received and document any findings. A package inspection should be first done on the boxes or pallets, looking for any punctures, cuts, scuffs, dents, or seal breaks before opening.  Then inspect all products for tears, scratches, uneven frames, etc. Damaged merchandise or parts will be replaced or repaired to new condition only when recorded on the packing slip and reported to Glastop within 48 hours of the actual delivery. Further instructions and information will be provided as a freight claim progresses.

If the delivery is too large to do a complete inspection and/or if the driver cannot wait, it must be documented on the packing slip as such. Example verbiage may include: "Received without a complete inspection""Boxes Damaged", or "Driver could not wait for complete inspection" before signing off. The receiving customer must make this notation, not the driver. Again, notify Glasto.com as soon as possible with an itemized count of the damage and pictures for further claims.

DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY, unless the entire order has been compromised. If you have any concerns about damage claims, please call 954-781-8460 and we will answer any questions you may have.

Our sincere desire is to make your buying experience from Glastop.com the most cost-effective and effortless. Please exercise caution making sure all the shipping information and services are correct when ordering. Additional charges occur if the delivery address is incorrect or services are ordered at the time of delivery. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you well.
